Terms of Service

1. Introduction
Welcome to Expense Manager. These Terms of Service govern your use of our web application and services. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Definitions
- Service: The Expense Manager web application and all related services provided by us.
- User: Any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
- Account: A unique account created for you to access our Service.
- Content: Any data, text, information, or materials that you submit to the Service.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
You may not use another person's account without permission. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to create an account.
4. Subscription and Payments
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the subscription fees indicated for your chosen plan.
Subscription fees are billed in advance on an annual basis. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it before the renewal date.
All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. We do not store your complete payment information on our servers.
Refunds are available within 30 days of your initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service. After this period, subscription fees are non-refundable.
5. Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for new users. The free trial provides access to premium features for a limited time without requiring payment information.
At the end of the free trial, you will need to subscribe to continue using premium features. If you do not subscribe, your account will be limited to basic functionality.
6. Founding Member Program
The Founding Member Program is a limited promotional offer available to the first 100 qualified users who meet specific criteria during the program's availability period.
Eligibility
The Founding Member Program is available to the first 100 users who successfully complete the qualification requirements. Enrollment is automatic upon registration while spots remain available. Once all 100 spots are claimed, the program will be closed to new participants.
Qualification Requirements
To qualify as a Founding Member and receive lifetime benefits, you must complete the following requirements within 7 days of registration:
- Add at least 5 expenses to your account
- Create at least 1 budget
- Complete both requirements within 7 calendar days from account registration
Benefits
Qualified Founding Members receive lifetime free access to all premium features of the Service, including any future features that may be added. This benefit remains active as long as the activity requirements are met and the account remains in good standing.
Activity Requirements
To maintain Founding Member status, you must perform at least one meaningful action within the Service every 45 days. Meaningful actions include adding expenses, creating or modifying budgets, recording income, settling debts, or other substantive interactions with the Service. Simply logging in does not constitute a meaningful action.
Revocation of Status
Your Founding Member status will be permanently revoked if you fail to perform a meaningful action for 52 or more consecutive days. Once revoked, Founding Member status cannot be reinstated, even if spots become available. Users whose status is revoked may continue using the Service as regular users and may be eligible for an alumni discount on future subscriptions.
Non-Transferability
Founding Member status is tied to a single email address and account. It cannot be transferred, sold, or assigned to another person or account. If you change your email address through our account settings, your Founding Member status will transfer to the new email. Creating a new account with a different email does not transfer Founding Member benefits.
Program Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Founding Member Program at any time. However, users who have already qualified as Founding Members will retain their benefits as long as they continue to meet the activity requirements and these Terms of Service.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others
- Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Use the Service for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.
9. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are solely responsible for your content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. We do not endorse any user content and have no obligation to monitor it.
10. Privacy

11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Service.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may export your data before termination. After termination, we may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to use the Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
